Introducing Ouflex AX — A New Freely Programmable Controller for Building Automation

In response to the need for scalable, open solutions, Ouman expands the freely programmable Ouflex building automation system with a new compact controller: Ouflex AX.

More Flexibility, Same Familiar Approach.

Ouflex AX brings new capabilities for modern building automation projects while staying true to Ouman’s proven, user-friendly approach. Core elements remain unchanged: Ouflex BA Tool and Ounet continue as the system’s backbone, supported by secure remote access and a focus on intelligent energy optimization.

System integrators and automation engineers experienced with Ouman products will find the programmable controller intuitive from the start, while enjoying the new features that give them more flexibility in system design.

Integrated M-Bus Master support enables direct connection to compatible third-party metering devices, making it easier to include heating, cooling, water, and electricity metering in both new and modernization projects.

Scalability is supported through I/O extension cards, allowing the system to be expanded with additional sensors, field devices, and control functions as project requirements grow or control needs evolve.

Installation is also kept straightforward with a practical, cabinet-friendly layout, where I/O numbering and wiring points are clearly visible for connection, checking, and troubleshooting. Dual Ethernet ports with switch mode further simplify network wiring and reduce the need for additional Ethernet switches.

• Direct tachometer RPM inputs for EC fans
• PWM inputs and outputs in accordance with the VDMA 24224 standard, supporting integration of compatible wet-runner circulation pumps
• Available as a white-label OEM variant with customized branding and pre-programmed software

Compatible With Ouflex BA Tool and Ounet.

Ouflex AX is programmed using the Ouflex BA Tool, providing users with a familiar and consistent engineering experience across Ouman controllers. M-Bus devices can now be easily integrated within the same environment.

A built-in web user interface provides convenient access to the controller, either locally via LAN or remotely over the internet.
